Striking ikat cushion in grey
Volcano Storm is a bold yet elegant ikat design in moody grey with contrast piping in smart, textured velvet, Mossop Storm. Handmade in the UK and filled with sustainably sourced duck feather and down.
Whilst every effort is made to make all cushions identical in pattern placement some will vary due to large pattern repeat of the Volcano fabric.
The Volcano Storm fabric used in this design is printed on the edge of the Lake District using ECOFAST technology, a digital pigment printing method which uses 50% less water than traditional techniques.
Volcano recalls Martin's recent travels to Indonesia where Balinese legends are based around fire gods of volcanic mountains. The Earth's circular core and streams of spewing lava inspired this abstract motif. From miles away you can hear its inner rumblings of volcanic activity which gives the impression of an oncoming storm, the inspiration for this colourway. In truth, this is the angry precursor to an explosive eruption. Volcanos should no longer be things of terrifying legends, subtly incorporate them in your home for decorative flair.
