Interviews | 28.05.2026

Introducing our new On the Sofa With... series, where we sit down with some of our favourite tastemakers to talk about their influences and inspiration. We're delighted to kick things off with David Hatton and Jerry Harding from the fabulous lifestyle and interiors boutique Hatton & Harding, based in Warwick.

1. How would you describe your studio's style in three words
H&H: Considered, timeless & authentic.

2. Which piece or pattern do you return to again and again, and why?
H&H: Elbrus Cloud, works great with neutrals or bold colours and is incredibly versatile for drapery and bespoke upholstery.

3. Vintage or contemporary?
H&H: Vintage is classic, timeless.

4. Maximal or minimal?
H&H: Maximal - surround yourself with items you love.

5. What colour are you drawn to right now?
H&H: Ochre - in upholstery, drapery, and accessories.

6. How does travel influence your work?
H&H: Hugely, David used to spend a lot of time in the Middle and Far East and so that feel has hugely influenced our style.

7. Favourite city for design inspiration?
H&H: Barcelona.

8. What draws you to Andrew Martin?
H&H: As a brand it feels directional, forward thinking and confident.
