Kelly Hoppen's Retrospective
This Autumn we unveil Kelly Hoppen's Retrospective collection at Andrew Martin, an astonishingly effective summation of her 40 years at the top table of design.
Presented in her signature neutral colour palette the cleverness in this collection lies in the mixing of materials used and the strong silhouettes created. It is a true reflection of Kelly's style and everything that she has loved over her career from vintage pieces to organic textures and material combinations.

The collection uses a range of different metals - rose and bronze and nickel - alongside suedes, velvets and woods, and this mix feels quite vintage inspired. It is a very sophisticated and glamorous range. Each piece sings its own song and the collection as a whole tells a refined story. As Martin says, "Kelly is a rare designer in that there is a message, a philosophy and an idea which underpins her work. She has discipline."
These are the qualities that, in 1996, made Kelly Hoppen the first recipient of the Andrew Martin International Interior Designer of the Year Award, "It was the discipline, rigour and attention to detail that drew me to Kelly's work," he muses and for Kelly it was a career changing moment: "It was the first proper award that I had won and was such a confidence booster," she recalls. "I called it the BAFTA of interior design."
Each piece sings its own song and I think that's the beauty of the collection. You can put any piece in any room and it will work.
